Primary dealers
The Debt Office has entered agreements with several banks to act as authorised primary dealers of Swedish government securities. The primary dealers provide our most important channel to reach a wide circle of investors and achieve an effective government securities market.
The primary dealers act both as intermediaries between the Debt Office and investors during auctions and as market makers. This means that they have undertaken to submit bids at all auctions and to quote buy and sell prices in the secondary market.
