Deficit for Swedish central government in July

Swedish central government payments in July resulted in a deficit of SEK 2.2 billion. It was in line with our latest forecast, which was a deficit of SEK 2.3 billion.
Tax income developed as calculated, while disbursements of central government agencies were slightly higher than forecasted. The higher disbursements were offset by lower net lending to central government agencies.
Interest payments on central government debt were SEK 2.7 billion, which were SEK 1.4 billion higher than calculated.
For the twelve-month period up to the end of July 2012, central government payments resulted in a deficit of SEK 25.3 billion.
Central government debt amounted to SEK 1,071 billion at the end of July.
The outcome for August will be published on 7 September, at 9:30 am.
